MeterSYS® develops and implements advanced metering solutions for public water, gas, and electric utilities operated by local governments and authorities across the country.  We value transparency in our actions and we believe that through positive disruption of the metering market, we may better serve utility clients for solutions that benefit utility operations, utility revenues, and customer service quality.  We believe there are value-added smart metering options for all utility types and sizes.

We specialize in third-party management through our smart metering design, finance, build, operate, and maintain (DFBOM) program, and also provide full project feasibility, project management, and service delivery for utility clients of all sizes.

MeterSYS®(tems) was founded on the foundation that by leveraging smart metering solutions effectively, we may help our clients improve operations, enhance revenues and serve utility customers even better.  Our company mission is to advance smart metering utilization among public water, electric, and gas utilities through education, analysis and effective technology implementation.  Our company goal is to promote selective and appropriate smart metering technology adoption for water, gas, and electric utilities to meet the technological, operational, and conservation needs of the utility and its customers.

Our company was designed to support the financial and operational interests of public utilities. Our services are unique and benefit from expertise in a wide range of smart meter technologies and systems across leading manufacturers.

MeterSYS® formal cooperative agreements with meter manufacturers including Neptune and Sensus as well as strong working partnerships with Aclara, Badger, and Mueller Systems. 

MeterSYS® Leadership

Andy Honeycutt, Managing Director

Mr. Honeycutt has provided professional services to municipal and utility organizations throughout his entire career, with 25 years of management experience in the public and private sectors.

He has received intensive training in utility operations at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and Boston College’s Institute of Corporate Community Involvement.

Mr. Honeycutt has provided executive project leadership and management for local government clients with a focus in utility operations, organizational design, change management, contract negotiations, meter solution design and smart meter installations.

Lauren Brown, Director of Client Services

Ms. Brown has extensive experience as a business consultant delivering complex solutions in the Local Government sector.

In her role as a consulting analyst, Lauren has been instrumental in delivering value-add solutions for clients on a consistent basis across a variety of projects, including a successful delivery of AMI/AMR implementation, organizational redesigns, and technology assessments.

As Director of Client Services, Lauren oversees the service delivery to MeterSYS clients through responsive support and effective project planning.  Lauren is uniquely skilled in data analysis and management.

Lauren received her MPA from UNC-Wilmington with a focus on public policy and management.

Rodger Sauls, Director of Strategic Initiatives

Mr. Sauls has been associated with the electric utility industry for more than 30 years supporting business development and program management.  Rodger is responsible for focusing on strategic partnerships with water, electric, and gas organizations and providing direction on the company’s strategic focus in service to public utilities across the United States.

He is a 20-year member of the North Carolina Economic Developers Association and has served on it’s Board of Directors.  Rodger is a graduate of Barton College, the University of South Florida’s Economic Development Basic School, and the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute and holds a North Carolina Brokers License.

Erin Bearhalter, Marketing and Special Projects Coordinator

Mrs. Bearhalter has experience in marketing and public relations within local government and nonprofit organizations.

In her role as the marketing and special projects coordinator she works with our clients in the selection, analysis and implementation of advanced meter solutions. She also updates the website, social media outlets and conducts interviews for press releases.

Erin received her BS in Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration followed by her Masters in Public Administration from Appalachian State University.
